1-pass for the first time

After your system has rebooted, you should see the 1-pass, icon in your Systray (usually at the bottom right in the task bar) as shown below. You need to double-click on the icon to obtain the window Firt Login to 1-pass.

The very first time you use 1-pass you will use the password you chose during the installation. This password will now be the only important one you will have to remember 1-pass will remember the others for you. The login window is shown below. To view this window double-click on the 1-pass icon in the Systray.

1-pass Manager

After you have entered your password, the 1-pass Manager window will open (shown below). 1-pass manager will help you maintain your credentials for your Web Pages stored, but for now, close the 1-pass Manager window (Choose File, Exit or click on the close window button at the top-right of the window.

Creating credentials with 1-pass is a simple 2 steps process.

Step 1 Find a logon Web Page.
First of all, you open your browser and go to a Web Site and the specific Web page where you are prompted for your Username and Password.

Step 2 Logon
To logon enter your Username and Password and click on the Login button. As shown below, 1-pass prompts you to choose how to use your credential. You can tell 1-pass to submit the credentials automatically (as described later) or to ignore this page. I you don't want 1-pass to savethese credentials click cancel.

If you choose "Auto Submit", the next time you go to this logon page 1-pass will automacally fill in the fields, with the proper credentials and submit the page. You will not need to click on the Login button. If you choose "Ignore this page" 1-pass will ignore this page. The next time you will go to this Web Page, 1-pass will not intervene.

In the field Page Name, 1-pass generates a Name with the Web Page Name and the Web Host Name. You may want to replace the generated name by a more representative name. This will be the name that will be shown in the Page Name list in the 1-pass Manager (see 1-pass Manager Function review). The 1-pass Manager application allows you to manage your credentials.
